Description:
Recently this 9 hole parkland course has been considerably extended and consists of seven par 4's and two par 3's.
For gentlemen the par and standard scratch is 68, and for ladies it is a testing 70.
The layout provides an excellent challenge for golfers of all abilities.
There are a few slopes to negotiate but you are rewarded with some truly magnificent views along the Urr valley, north to Cairnsmore of Fleet and south to Kippford and the Lake District hills.
The course is a haven for wildlife - birds of prey fly overhead, deer are often seen and woodland song birds abound in the Rounall wood, which is adjacent to the course - so you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy this course.
There are also concessions when playing with members at £8 for 9 or 18 holes or per day.. Please ask the Secretary for details.
How to get to the Course
Go to Dalbeattie 6.6 miles. The course is well signposted off the B794 Haugh of Urr road - going through Maxwell Park to a spacious parking area, which is provided for members and visitors
